by: coinslab There is some rock art about a quarter of a mile of the cache. I believe they are ute done in the early 1800s but they could be Fremont dunno. Not a great panel but kinda cool. The name is of furniture and you are in furniture draw yes i know it was dry. Nice canyon I suggest you follow it through and go back down through an old dugout and some more rock art. Nice easy walk (if you go past cache beware of puddles. | by: coinslab & back_country hiker The cache is near a brown pebble and a gray grain of dirt maybe a grain of sand too. | by: coinslab This is a fun cache near a series of round rocks which scientists can't figure out how they formed. When visiting this cache be careful and make sure the rocks you step on are sturdy but you shouldn't come into that problem if you just go to the cache. Best way is to stop before the cache on the road and just walk up a small side hill. BTW really do not go on any of the small ledges below the cache or to the west. It kinda hurts if you fall off them (trust me) |
by: coinslab My favorite thing to do here is come when night is coming quick then leave as the sun starts to set. The dim light casts on the red rocks making them seem purple and all the yellow flowers are a great addition. While driving home i suggest while driving home to turn on the radio quietly just relax. Be careful cache is up high so come from the top. There are two ways to get the geocache. Way 1- This is the best way what you do is drive past the fence and go to the pile of boulders. Way 2- I strongly don't suggest this but you can climb the fence it will be a shorter walk. Cache is inside a pencil box. | by: coinslab When viewing the cache coords are off a bit. From where the coordinates tell you go to the canyon wall thats where it is. | by: coinslab BRING NOTEPAD AND PEN/PENCIL FOR DECRYPTING Cache is NOT at the given coordinates but it's where you have to start. The Legend Nefertiti sent her troops to destroy the natives and their culture. Although nefertiti destroyed most of their pots and some of their men the natives were winning. In an effort to protect the egyptian culture nefertiti stuck a scroll in a small container and put in under a rock in the swell. A scroll that led to treasure. But for thousands of years no one has found nor decrypted the scroll. Find and decrypt the scroll to find cache. -- 2,000 years later the Rosetta Stone was uncovered. In order to decrypt Nefertiti's message you'll have to print off the WHOLE page DECRYPTION PAGE ----- GOOD LUCK CACHERS!!! | ||||||||||
